Could have one expected anything less from the land of Omotenashi? The art of selfless hospitality is not a rhetoric, but the very philosophy that the people of Japan have imbibed in their day to day actions and interactions. The cashier at 7/11 shop counter who unfailingly wished us arigatou gozaimasu (thank you!) each day, the girl at the restaurant who came running after us to return the umbrella we left behind, the bartender at the izikaya who patiently understood three travellers completely lost in translation and served us the best sake ever, and Meiko-san who hosted us and fed us a sumptuous home made breakfast at Nara. Heck, Even the Japanese toilets with their cushioned seats and fancy buttons exuded Omotenashi!
Countless moments, countless experiences.
